Assisting post surgical back patient with sit to stand transfer from recliner.
What happened
RN contacted prior to session. Gives okay for therapy to work with patient and report patient need to transfer from chair back to bed due to restrictions recommendations of remaining sitting in recliner s p back surgery. Patient with increased pain and difficulty with attempts at sit to stand. Call made to rehab aide (unable to assist as leaving work) CNA (does not answer phone x2) and RN who is is alternate room. Unable to use lift equipment due to post surgical precautions and patient body shape.
