Attempted to check patient blood glucose this AM was hypoglycemic and administered d50 per protocol rechecked patient sugar [REDACTED] and was still hypoglycemic to make sure correct i attempted a blood sugar on patient left ear lobe holding behind his earlobe with left index finger I poked his earlobe with the accucheck needle the needle went through his earlobe and poked my finger through my glove
