Helping patient get from bed to bathroom
What happened
Teammate was helping patient go from bed to the bathroom. When patient was sitting in the bed teammate put on the gait belt and assisted the patient up. It was when she was moving the patient up and down that her back began hurting. Was sudden pain but then it felt a little better. Over the [REDACTED] the pain became worse. Teammate used gait belt because patient was described as up with one assist. Was able to walk when she was up. Challenge was supporting her getting up.
