Working

Twisting tubing lines syringes clamping clamps on dialysis tubing lines

R thumb joint in hand down at palm. Repetitive clamping twisting poking needle-less needles pulling syringes at work seems to flare up an old injury I got trying to untwist a cap off dialysis catheter a few years ago. It will periodically ache throb at work since then and a few times it has gotten swollen and bothered me a few days at a time. Yesterday it started throbbing shortly into my shift and continued to throb more throughout the day. I noticed it starting to swell mid-late morning but it was minimal. Throughout the day it just continued with increased throbbing and swelling. I clamped as many lines as possible & did what I safely could with my left hand to avoid using it. The throbbing continues now and even woke me up in the night so I figured I should do as my coordinator encouraged & fill out the form. Throbbing goes into my wrist on back side now as well.
