On [REDACTED] at approximately [REDACTED] Associate reported left hand laceration to supervisor During investigation Associate Shredder operator stated incident occurred when they were cutting down peel waste using a double sided klever cutter for easy shredding prior to feeding into the shredder They placed the peel waste on the shredder feed section supported it with their left hand while they had the cutter in the right hand In the process of cutting through the paper wraps the cutter slipped slit the glove and cut through the web space between the left index finger and the thumb Upon evaluation of the cutter plastic guard on one side was missing broke off while cutting thereby exposing the blade Associate could not return to work and was taken to the ER
