Stringing rod through die and pointer.

A team member was stringing rod through a die and the pointer machine. During this process the team member rested his foot on the foot pedal that activates the pointer machine. While stringing the rod through the pointer the team member inadvertently pressed down on the foot pedal and activated the pointer machine. The team members hand was in between a pinch point during the machine activation. The employee was taken to the emergency room and received 7 stiches.
