Before the incident
[REDACTED] was adjusting the mat in the wet lab to reduce the gap between the mats
What happened
TM fixes the mats every day when she is in the lab because a gap between them will cause the floor to be slippery. TM then opened the door to get a better angle on the mat. TM was supporting herself with her right hand on the inside frame (hinge side) of the door. TM 's back was to the door and she was leaning down and adjusting the mat with her left hand. The AC unit in the wetlab then turned on which causes the door to slam shut. This occurred right when the TM was adjusting the mats causing the door to start swinging shut.
Injury or illness
Fracture of pinky finger.
Object or substance involved
Door
Summary line
Finger fracture due to crushing between door and frame.
