Grinding on equipment
What happened
Employee was being trained by Supervisor on the proper way to filling and grinding some holes on the inside of LTA. Employee was wearing his grinding shield and safety glasses but the area he was grinding in was so tight that metal shaving were getting all over him and a piece of metal got into his eye. We flushed out his eye with eye wash solution and we thought that we got everything out but after a couple of days the irritation is still there.
