Employee had picked up a 2lb tote from a designated stack and attempted to place it onto a utility cart when the tote struck their knee

What happened

On [REDACTED] Athlete was picking on B floor zone 1. At approximately [REDACTED] while picking athlete picked up an empty tote from the empty tote stack to place at the bottom of the pick cart during this process athlete bumped their left knee with the tote causing a throbbing pain in the left knee. Athlete immediately notified the department team lead who then notified safety. Athlete was able to walk to safety. At [REDACTED] athlete was asked to have a seat in the park and safety provided ice for the left knee. Athlete refused advance medical evaluation and went home to self-care and return to work the next scheduled work shift [REDACTED]. Athlete was given directions to call HR before start of shift if any pain continues. Athlete did not work [REDACTED] or [REDACTED] due to an unrelated work situation. Update: Athlete went to UMC quick care on [REDACTED] and received restrictions that we are unable to accommodate. Athlete went to Concentra on [REDACTED] and was returned to full duty
