What happened
At [REDACTED] on [REDACTED] EEs were attempting to use the clamp bucket that was supplied with the original galv line to bottom dross the aluminum pot. The ees brought the clamp bucket over from the north hammerhead and attached it to the crane. [REDACTED] was using the crane to lower the clamp bucket into the pot. Once the clamp bucket was submerged approximately 1 foot an explosion occurred causing molten aluminum to splatter roughly 40 to 50 feet into the air. [REDACTED] was standing in front of the pot operating the crane controls. [REDACTED] was standing on the east side of the pot using the tag line. When the explosion occurred [REDACTED] turned around to run and ran directly into the strip break guard that is removed while we are down. This caused [REDACTED] to suffer a hematoma to the forehead. [REDACTED] was transferred to the ER by ambulance to be checked out. [REDACTED] was released and cleared to go back to work at [REDACTED] the same day [REDACTED]. [REDACTED] was standing
