What happened
Two employees were changing a shaker coil on the top platform of Poly [REDACTED] using a forklift and sling. As the forklift was raising the coil to clear the top guardrail the injured employee placed his right hand on the guardrail. In doing so one of the forklift tines pinched his finger against the guardrail resulting in a bursting laceration to the right ring finger. The employee was sent to the local emergency room for treatment. The employee received 9 sutures to close the wound and it was also determined that his fingertip was fractured.
