Employee caused a stack of pallets to tip over with a forklift. They stoppped and got assistance from the lead operator to safely lower the pallets. Once the Lead Operator arrived the lead got on the forklift and told the employee to stay back as they attempted to lower the fallen pallets safely to the ground.

In this process of the lead lowering the pallets with the forklift the pallets became unstable and started teetering on the forks. Without the lead operator knowing and before they could stop the employee moved forward and attempted to steady the pallets with their arms and body. As the employee attempted to steady the pallets the pallets fell off the forks (approximately 2 feet) and struck the employee in the leg.
