Assembling the Pipp elevated platforms
What happened
Cultivation technician suffered a head injury from a PIPP Racking elevated worksurface rail hitting her while assembling the elevated platforms. The elevated platform piece was bent out of shape causing her and another employee to stand under the platform and adjust the pieces. The bent piece was moved into place but jolted out in another place and falling on the top center of her head. She took a short break after the injury but then returned to work normally. Her supervisor informed EHS 2.5 hours after the injury once the employee was getting ready to leave work from the pain. EHS recognized concussion symptoms and called medcor Ref : 27259522 the employee was referred to see a provider the provider then referred the employee to the emergency room. At the hospital the employee was diagnosed with a concussion without losing consciousness. Her discharge documents state a return to work on [REDACTED] 3 days away from work 0 days restricted.
