Before the incident
injured worker states that he was walking to his work area with a bottled water in his left hand and a Hilti [REDACTED] in his right hand supported on his right shoulder (grasped by the main handle). He was in process of stepping up to a stack of concrete wall placements laid out near the entrance of the construction site.
What happened
IW stepped up to the concrete wall and the loose concrete mix caused him to slip. He let go of the hammer drill and used his right hand to regain his balance by placing it near the edge of the concrete wall. It was a this point that the hammer drill struck his right pinky finger.
