Before the incident
The rig crew had the landing joint in the mousehole and installed the rotating rubber onto the landing joint in the mousehole.
What happened
The I.E. guided the joint into the stump to stab it in. The I.E. missed the initial stab and moved the joint into place. As the landing joint fell into place in the collar the rotating rubber slid down the casing joint and smashed his right index finger in between the rotating rubber and the collar of the landing joint.
