Before the incident
TM was attempting to cut a BK-1 component out of a pallet.
What happened
TM was holding the trigger with the right hand and was securing the pallet with the left hand. The saw was angled up to enter the gap between the B-1 board and the BK-1 component. TMs vision of the end of the saw was blocked by the B-1 board. As the TM was focused on the blade placement to find the gap the middle finger slipped off the saw boot and entered the space between the blade and the blade lock mechanism of the saw.
