Repositioning mooring rope from boat to the rig

As rig was on tow down [REDACTED] crew boat pulled up to starboard side of the rig.The tow slowed down to allow crew boat to tie up alongside of the rig. Another employee tied the front and back of the boat to the rig. As crew was getting off crew boat the front quarter rope was slipping causing the crew boat to slowly get away from the rig. As [REDACTED] attempted to re-tie the rope the boat surged from a ground swell causing him to trap his ring finger on his right hand between the cleat and rope.
