Before the incident
troubleshooting the new [REDACTED] crimper ([REDACTED]) in [REDACTED]. He was trying to duplicate bad insertions. He was working with the crimper flare dot unit. He pushed the center pin on the tooling manually. While doing so the machine clamped his middle finger on his left hand. A cut and swelling developed. An ice pack was applied and the employee finished working the remainder of the shift. The employee had a wellness appointment with his doctor scheduled for that day after work. During the appointment his finger was examined. X-rays were taken. On [REDACTED] the employee was informed that he had fractured the tip of his finger.
