Before the incident
The employee had just pulled the trailer away from the dock door and then walked to the back of the trailer to close the doors.
What happened
While closing the container trailer doors (using the leverage bar) the employee applied force beyond the point of resistance resulting in pain in his right shoulder. The employee noticed that the container closer bar was bent and continued to apply force rather than notify the supervisor and escalate an equipment issue.
