or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to
potential contact with a radial saw blade:
a) Pre-Fab Cut-Up Area, Lancaster Machinery Company Radial Arm Saw
- The cutting head was not installed so that it would return to its
starting position when released by the operator.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement methods to
correct this hazard is to install the saw with the front end of the unit
slightly higher that the rear, or to add a pulley and weight to pull the
head back.
