29 CFR 1910.5(a)(1): Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employement and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Crushing injuries due to not have side mirrors, a backup alarm, the door latch broken on the driver side and the windshield broken on the International Load Star 1700 Truck. a.Among other methods, one feasible and accepted method to correct this hazard is to correct the defects found on the truck, which is required per ASEM.
