Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to electrocution from ungrounded electrical apparatus: In the following instances electrical equipment was not grounded: a)Break Room - The metal frame of the Whirlpool refrigerator was not grounded and contained 50 volts. b)Egg Packing Plant - The yellow extension cord contained a broken ground prong. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to replace the plugs on the flexible cords.

Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to fractures and crushing injuries due to the roll-over and/or collision of manure truck(s): Outside the Facility - Manure trucks were operated on uneven surfaces and within vehicular traffic lanes. The drivers of the trucks were not wearing and/or provided with functional operator restraint systems. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to install seat belts and require their use.r
