AMONG OTHER METHODS, ONE FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE ABATEMENT
METHOD TO CORRECT THIS HAZARD IS:
1) Sound the alarm system as specified by paragraph 5-3.1.3 (e) of
American
National
Standard, standard B30.5 1968, Crawler, Locomotive and Truck Cranes.
2) Never travel or swing the crane without first making certain that no
person or property
will be endangered as specified by CIMA safety manual page 42.
3) Signal your intention to move or stop by sounding the horn as specified
by CIMA safety
manual page 42.
NOTE: The employer is required to submit abatement certification for this

accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19.ce
