Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the potential hazard of electrocution. The following conditions contributed to the existence of this hazard: a) C/P U.S.Intrepid: On the Trawl deck, a 110/120 volt electrical outlet indicated a short in the circuitry when tested with the IDEAL circuit tester 61-035. b) This same electrical outlet was being used as a power source for a vacuum cleaner which was positioned on the wet metal deck and power to the vacuum cleaner was obtained by using an extension cord. c) The extension cord was also defective, in that it was missing the equipment grounding prong.ing
