Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employmnent and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to a crushing caught between hazard. a)Dock Area:Door #11 Adequate procedure's to notify outside drivers and to ensure that industrial truck drivers have vacated trailers were not implemented to prevent trailers from being seperated from the loading dock prematurely. Violation observed on or about 5/5/98. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to follow currently established policy and formally and effectively communicate it to outside drivers. ABATEMENT NOTE:ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION AND DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED.TION
