Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to a fall hazard: a)Wonderview Farms #1, On or about 1/10/02: Employees were riding the load block to gain access to the Derrickman's working platform. Among other methods, several feasible and acceptable methods to correct these hazards are to: 1.Utilize the fixed ladder while using a ladder climbing device. 2.Follow the requirements of API 54, Section 6.11, 1999. Abatement certification must be submitted for this item.

Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard of fire or other emergency: a)Wonderview Farms #1, On or about 1/10/02: Auxiliary means of egress (such as Geronimo Lines) were not provided from the Derrickman's working platform. Among other methods, several feasible and acceptable methods to correct these hazards are to: 1.Provide a secondary means of escape (such as a Geronimo Line) for employees required to work on the Derrick Platform. 2.Follow the requirements of API 54, Section 6.10.1, 1999. Abatement certification must be submitted for this item. The Fairman Corporation was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard or its equivalent standard, Section 5(a)(1) which was contained in OSHA Inspection number 30304586878, Citation 1, Item 2, issued on 10/25/01, with respect to a workplace located on Route 414 Town of Catlin, New York, and Inspection number 304586860, Citation 1, Item 2, issued on 10/25/01, with respect to a workplace located on Ridge Road, in Spencer, New York.er,
