Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm yo employees: a. On or about September 18, 2002, at the above addressed jobsite, employees working from an extensible boom aerial lift were exposed to falls due to the lack of use of personal fall arrest equipment. Among feasible means of abatement would be to comply with the American National Standards Institute(ANSI) A92.5-1992, Standard for Boom Supported Elevated Platforms and have employees wear and use fall arrest equipment any time they are in the aerial lift.l
