Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard of slipping while walking and working on an ice and snow covered surface. (a) Location - 164 Meadow Street, Framingham, Ma: On or about 03/05/2003, employees were not protected from ice slipping hazards in there work area. Among other methods, feasible means of abatement would be to; 1) Remove ice where employees are assigned to work. 2) Salt and sand areas daily where employees are assigned to work.
