Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employmnent and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: On or about 08/31/04, at 2050 Buford Hwy., Duluth, GA: a) Employees were exposed to electrical shock hazards. Employer did not notify the Utilities Protection Center (UPC) prior to commencing work under a high voltage line as required by Code Section 46-3-34. "AMONG OTHER METHODS, ONE FEASIBLE, AND ACCEPTABLE ABATEMENT METHOD TO CORRECT THIS HAZARD IS": 1. Instruct the "person responsible for the work" to contact the Utilities Protection Center (UPC) as defined in paragraph (6) of Code Section 46-3-32 of the High Voltage Safety Act.ty
