Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Falling from the loading/recieving dock created by the improper use of a DOK-LOK vehicle restraint. a) Worksite located at 92 Main Street, Wharton, NJ An employee was injured while unloading the rear of a 53 foot trailer that was not secured to receiving bay #34A by the Rite-Hite VBR300 ALP DOK-LOK vehicle restraint system that was in place. AMONG OTHER METHODS, FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE MEANS TO CORRECT THIS HAZARD ARE: 1) Follow the Whitlock Packaging Forklift Safety Program, which states, "Trucks must be prevented to rolling while they are boarded with power industrial trucks..." or 2) Use the Rite-Hite VBR300 ALP Dok-Lok in accordance with the operations manualions
