Section 5a1 of the Occupational safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish a place of employment free from recognized hazards that were likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employee(s) working from a skid attached to a powered industrial vehicle that's elevated 15 to 20 feet without fall protection. Frame Department: Employee(s) are elevated 15 to 20 feet without fall protection on a wooden pallet attached to a powered industrial vehicle to perform welding on the inside of the frame of the thermoforming machine. A feasible abatement method is to follow the American Society of Mechanical Engineers standard ASME B56.1-2004, Safety Standard for Low Lift and High Lift Trucks, Section 4.17 Elevating Personnel, as applicable. No abatement or certification required for this item.
