Nevada Revised Statute 618.375(1): Duties of employers. The employer failed to furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to his employees: The employer did not ensure that employees were provided a place of employment, free from hazards as follows: a.Located at the Nellis Landings construction site, a pressure vessel was being utilized to provide air for pnuematic tools. The vessel was filled by a Rol-Air air compressor that had a broken pressure gage making it impossible to know the amount of air going into the pressure vessel. The pressure vessel was not stamped and installed in accordance with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Section VIII, Division 1, UG-119. The maximum allowable pressure for the vessel was unknown, exposing employees to possible rupture of the vessel. Reference: ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Section VIII, Division 1, UG-119. One feasible means of abatement would be to follow the instructions in the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Section VIII, Division 1, UG-119.
