Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to stuck-by hazards of damaged overhead roll up dock doors: a) Ward Trucking - Employees working at dock 39 are exposed to struck-by hazards from a broken Trac-Rite roll-up door that will not roll up, is broken out of both guide tracks, and is being propped up by a load bar where employees are passing underneath the door when pulling material handling equipment in/out of a trailer that is connected to dock 39. Among one feasible and acceptable method of abatement would be to maintenance and repair those components listed in the Trac-Rite Door intallation manual in Section 15 under maintenance and inspection. No abatement certification or documentation required.tion
