Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation: 04/08/11 Location:Main Work Area Equipment:Caterpillar Forklift, Serial #4HB1998 Condition:A battery powered forklift was not equipped with a seatbelt. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is to install and utilize a restraint system in accordance with the current version of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) B56.1-2009, "Safety Standard for Powered Industrial Trucks," and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) B56.1-2000,"Safety Standard for Low Lift and High Lift Trucks." (a)Date of Violation: 04/08/11 Location:Main Work Area Equipment:Caterpillar Forklift, Serial #4HB1998 Condition:A battery powered forklift was not equipped with a seatbelt.
