29 CFR 1926.251(a)(2): Rigging equipment was loaded in excess of its recommended safe working load:    a.   Ohio Excavating & Sewer Contractors Corp. worksite located near N. Jerome Rd. & Russell Rd., Maumee, Ohio: On or about June 14, 2011, the employer did not assure the recommended capacity of the 3/8" wire rope sling was exceeded per the manufacturer. The sling was being used as a choker rated at 1.1 Tons (2200 pounds) with the precast pipe sections weighing approximately 2304 pounds exposing the employees to the potential of falling loads.    No additional abatement information is needed for this item.
