29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8m) or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system or personal fall arrest system: a. On or about May 27, 2011, at a jobsite located at 10735 S. Drew Street, Chicago, Illinois - in lieu of conventional fall protection, the employer did not utilize an alternative fall protection plan as stated in STD 3-0.1A - Plan Language Revision of OSHA Instruction STD 3.1, Interim Fall Protection Compliance Guidelines for Residential Construction, Dated June 18, 1999, while engaged in roofing operations for residential construction activities: 1. Slide guards were not in place along the eaves of the roof for a 4:12 pitch roof exposing employees to the hazards associated with fall of approximately twenty two (22') feet.
