29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8m) or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system or personal fall arrest system: a. On or about July 8, 2011, at the above addressed jobsite, in lieu of conventional fall protection, the employer did not utilize an alternative fall protection plan as stated in STD 3-0.1A - Plan Language Revision of OSHA Instruction STD 3.1, Interim Fall Protection Compliance Guidelines for Residential Construction, Dated June 18, 1999, while engaged in roofing operations for residential construction activities: 1. Slide guards were not in place along the eaves of the roof for a 5 1/2:12 pitch roof exposing employees to the hazards associated with twelve (12') feet one (1") inch falls. THE RAJ CONSTRUCTION , INC., WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD OR ITS EQUIVALENT STANDARD 29 CFR 1926.501(B)(13), WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 315238519, CITATION NUMBER 1, ITEM NUMBER 1 AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON JUNE 1, 2011, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT 431 KENILWORTH AVE, ELMHURST, IL 60126.
