29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: This company was one of a group of construction companies involved in the renovation of a national chain of restaurants. Workers from this company were observed engaged in commercial construction activities repairing the upper roof area. A worker was exposed to a potential fall hazard from a distance of 11.5 feet in that a fall protection system was not properly utilized.
