29 CFR 1910.305(b)(1)(ii): Unused openings in boxes, cabinets, or fittings were not effectively closed. Pallet Repair Tables. Electrical outlet boxes were affixed to the legs of the pallet repair tables and used to supply power for corded hand tools used by employees in the repair of pallets. Eleven (11) boxes had unused openings in them from missing knockouts and missing or improperly aligned receptacles, exposing employees to contact with energized conductors. There is no abatement documentation or certification required for this item.

29 CFR 1910.305(b)(2)(i): Each outlet box in completed installations did not have a cover, faceplate, or fixture canopy. Pallet Repair Tables. Electrical outlet boxes were affixed to the legs of the pallet repair tables and used to supply power for corded hand tools used by employees in the repair of pallets. Two (2) of the boxes had covers that were hanging open with power tools plugged into them, exposing employees to contact with energized conductors. There is no abatement documentation or certification required for this item.
