29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems, nor did the employer demonstrate that it is infeasible or creates a greater hazard to use these systems and develop and implement a fall protection plan which meets the requirements of paragraph (k) of section 1926.502: a) Jobsite: On September 9, 2011 and times prior thereto employees performed framing activities which included installing trusses, from the exterior top plates with out a fall protection system in place, exposing them to an approximate 20 foot fall hazard. b) Jobsite: On September 9, 2011 and times prior thereto employees performing framing activities on the second floor level were exposed an approximate 13 foot fall hazard at unguarded window openings. c) Jobsite: On September 9, 2011 and times prior thereto employees performing framing activities on the second floor were exposed an approximate nine foot fall hazard at an open sided floor used for access to and from this level. Note) Abatement certification and documentation are NOT required for this item.
