29 CFR 1926.25(a): During the course of construction, alteration, or repairs, form or scrap lumber with protruding nails was not kept clear from work areas: (a) Between lots Lot 5172-1-7-3-R2 and 5172-1-7-3-2, 2 x 4 lumber with protruding nails lay within the pathway to other work areas. The lumber was used as formwork and dismantled prior to this inspection. Employees were exposed to the hazards of nails impaling their feet.

29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): Eye and face protective equipment were not used when machines or operations presented potential eye or face injury from physical, chemical, or radiation agents. Between lots 5172-1-7-3-R2 and 5172-1-7-3-2, an employee was observed hammering and removing nails from lumber without the use of eye protection. Employee was exposed to the hazard of hisr eyes being struck by wood splinters and nails.
