29 CFR 1910.22(d)(1): On every building or other structure, or part thereof, used for mercantile, business, industrial or storage purposes, the loads approved by the building official were not marked on plates of approved design and securely affixed in a conspicuous place in each space to which they relate.        (a) CBP El Cajon Station maintenance shop - On or about February 3, 1012, the upper level of the shop was used for material storage without posting the load limit plate.

29 CFR 1910.23(c)(1)(i): Open-sided floors and/or platforms four feet or more above adjacent floor or ground level were not guarded with standard railings (or equivalent) and toeboards wherever beneath the open sides persons can pass:        (a) CBP El Cajon Station maintenance shop - On or about February 3, 1012, employees were exposed to struck by hazards at the entrance of the hallway and storage room when passing beneath the upper level where the railing did not incorporate a toe board to prevent objects from falling.

29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(A): Flexible cords and cables were used as a substitute for the fixed wiring of a structure.        a) CBP El Cajon Station FOS trailer East - On or about February 3, 2012, a flexible cord set was used to provide power to an absocold refrigerator as a substitute for the fixed wiring of the structure.        b) CBP El Cajon Station Intel trailer East, room #1 - On or about February 3, 2012, a flexible cord set was used to provide power to a microwave and toaster oven as a substitute for the fixed wiring of the structure.

29 CFR 1910.305(g)(2)(iii): Flexible cords and cables were not connected to devices and fittings so that strain relief was provided that would prevent pull from being directly transmitted to joints or terminal screws:        (a) CBP El Cajon Station maintenance shop - On or about February 3, 1012, the employer provided an electrical arc welder with exposed conductors on the attachment plug where the sheath providing strain relief was pulled back.
