OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to powder coating dust explosion and deflagration hazards from process equipment that was not adequately designed to prevent or minimize employee exposure in the event of a deflagration:    (a)	Triad Capital Group, LLC dba Total Automation, 13676 N Station Road, Columbia Station, Ohio:  On or about 02/28/2012, the employer did not ensure that employees were protected from powder coating dust explosion and deflagration hazards.  The employees were exposed to hazards from two dust collectors located inside the building which were connected to the powder coating booth and which lacked means of (1) explosion protection and (2) deflagration isolation for upstream processes, downstream air exhausts, and associated collection containers.    Among other methods, a feasible method to correct this hazard would be to comply with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Standard 33, Standard for Spray Application Using Flammable or Combustible Materials, 2011 Ed.  Section 15.8.3 and NFPA 654 "Standard for the Prevention of Fire and Dust Explosions from the Manufacturing, Processing, and Handling of Combustible Particulate Solids, 2006 Ed. - Sections 7.1.2, 7.1.4, 7.1.5, 7.13.1.1.1, 7.13.1.3.1, 7.13.1.5.
