29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. On or about 17 April 2012, employees at 1023 North Main Street, Maryville, Missouri, were exposed to fall hazards in that they were not protected from falling while they were working on a sloped roof area, measured at 10:12 pitch, that was approximately 28 feet above a lower level.
