29 CFR 1926.451(g)(1)(vii): Each employee on a scaffold, not otherwise specified in paragraphs (g)(1)(i) through (g)(1)(vi) of this section, more than 10 feet (3.1 m) above lower level was not protected from falls by the use of personal fall arrest systems or guardrail systems meeting the requirements of paragraph (g)(4) of this section. The employer does not protect its employees from falling from a scaffold by the use of a guardrail system or personal fall arrest system. This violation was observed on or about April 19, 2012, located at the work site at 3759 FM 1488, The Woodlands, TX, where employees were exposed to an approximately 11 foot fall from the scaffold while the employees were installing joists. Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the date of this citation, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that employees are protected from falling off of scaffolds.
