29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph (b) The employer does not protect its employees from falling by a guardrail system, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system while employees are working from heights. This violation was observed on or about May 3, 2012, located at the work site at or near 21520 Tatton Crest, Spring, TX, where two employees were exposed to an approximately 11 foot fall while installing decking and tar paper on the roof of a newly constructed two-story home without a fall protection system. Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the date of this citation, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that employees are protected from falling to lower levels.
