29 CFR 1926.20(b)(2): The employer did not initiate and maintain a safety program which provides for frequent and regular inspections of jobsites, materials, and equipment to be made by a competent person (i.e., a person who is capable of identifying existing and predictable hazards in the surroundings or working conditions which are unsanitary, hazardous, or dangerous to employees, and who has the authority to take prompt corrective measures to eliminate them):    Rivera Construction, at 1327 Snowberry Lane, Louisville, CO: On 6/22/12, Rivera Construction did not initiate and maintain a safety program which provides for frequent and regular inspections of jobsites, materials, and equipment to be made by a competent person (i.e., a person who is capable of identifying existing and predictable hazards in the surroundings or working conditions which are unsanitary, hazardous, or dangerous to employees, and who has the authority to take prompt corrective measures to eliminate them).  Employees of Rivera Construction were performing framing work on a new construction home.  One employee of Rivera Construction was exposed to a fall hazard.  Rivera Construction did not maintain a safety program which included frequent and regular inspections of the jobsite.  This condition exposed an employee to a fall hazard of approximately 9.5 feet.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or another provision in paragraph (b) of this section which provides for an alternative fall protection measure:    Rivera Construction, at 1327 Snowberry Lane, Louisville, CO: On 6/22/12, Rivera Construction did not ensure that each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet or more above lower levels was protected by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or another provision in paragraph (b) of this section which provides for an alternative fall protection measure.  Employees of Rivera Construction were performing framing work on a new construction home.  One employee of Rivera Construction was finishing a soffit while standing upon the one story home's roof.  The employee was not provided fall protection.  This condition exposed an employee to a fall hazard of approximately 9.5 feet.

Employees of Rivera Construction were performing framing work on a new construction home.  One employee of Rivera Construction was finishing a soffit while standing upon the one story home's roof.
