29 CFR 1926.701(b): All protruding reinforcing steel, onto and/or into which employees could fall or come against, was not guarded to eliminate the hazard of impalement: (a) A Wing: Employees were exposed to 20 pieces of unprotected protruding reinforcing steel located throughout A Wing. The height of the reinforcing steel was 4 feet high measured from ground level, as observed on July 25, 2012. (b) C Wing: Employees were exposed to 13 pieces of unprotected protruding reinforcing steel located throughout C Wing. The height of the reinforcing steel was 4 feet 7 inches high measured from ground level, as observed on July 25, 2012. Abatement Certification is Required for this Item.
