29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were other provisions of paragraph (b) of this section used to provide an alternative fall protection measure: a) On or about July 25, 2012, Jasper Contractors Inc., as a controlling employer, failed to ensure that employees of REM Construction (subcontractor) were protected from falls in excess of 6 feet while they conducted re-roofing activites. Jasper Contractors, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13) or its equivalent which was contained in OSHA inspection 313722787, Citation 1, Item 1, issued January 31, 2011, with respect to a workplace located at 713 Valley View Road, Woodland Park, CO 80863. This citation became final on February 24, 2012. Abatement Note: Abatement certification and documentation are required for this item (see enclosed Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet).
