29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13):  Employee were engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels and were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system:    (a) 2251 Porter Way Lancaster, PA - Employees were walking the top plate board of a residential construction without the benefit of a fall protection system, thereby exposing employee(s) to a fall between 8 and 14 feet, on or about August 16, 2012.    (b) 2251 Porter Way Lancaster, PA - Employees were using metal steps to access the second floor and did not have a fall protection system around the open edges of the stairway on the second floor, thereby exposing employees to a fall of approximately 9 feet, on or about August 16, 2012.    No abatement certification or documentation required.

29 CFR 1926.1052(c)(1): Stairways having four or more risers or rising more than 30 inches (76 cm), whichever is less, were not equipped with a standard handrail and one stairrail system along each unprotected side or edge:    (a) 2251 Porter Way Lancaster, PA - A metal stairs consisting of 11 risers was not equipped with a standard railing system and one standard handrail along each unprotected side, thereby exposing employees to a possible injury, on or about August 16, 2012.      Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(13): The top or top step of a stepladder shall not be used as a step:    (a) 2251 Porter Way Lancaster, PA - An employee was standing on the top step of a 6 foot step ladder assisting the employees on the second floor securing trusses, thereby exposing the employee to injuries, on or about August 16, 2012.      No abatement certification or documentation required.
